Known Limitations and Support Plans
Ubuntu 26.04 export limitation
Word, Excel, and searchable PDF export in the current release need a process-scoped compatibility setting. Read the Ubuntu 26.04 notes, including the security warning and undo instructions.
This note covers the two identified export types. Do not assume all other formats have the same issue or that this setting resolves every compatibility problem.
Red Hat / RPM support plan
Adaptation is in progress, with a target of early December 2026. Specific distributions, versions, architectures, dependencies, and installation steps will be added before release. RPM support is not formally available yet.
Do not convert the Debian package, ignore dependencies, or treat development work as a released product. The target may change; follow the final announcement.
Systems and devices outside the test scope
The Ubuntu results do not establish full compatibility for other Debian-family distributions or desktop environments. OS verification also does not replace testing of individual scanner models.
Check the compatibility matrix, then collect the information listed under feedback preparation.
Documentation updated: October 19, 2026. Applies to the current Linux Debian package; refer to the release package for its exact version and architecture.
